Place an order, receive a monthly safety tip 

The Frankfort Fire Protection District and Aurelio's Pizza,  Palermo's, Enrico's on LaGrange Road, and Villa Rosa in Frankfort Square have teamed up to promote safety. Every month they attach a safety tip to their pizza boxes provided by the Fire Prevention Bureau. 

Next Generation Tot Finder - New Bedroom Door Fire Safety Program

The Tot Finder fire safety program is designed to help firefighters recognize a child's bedroom while performing a primary search of the home during a fire. Designed with the help of both fire educators and firefighters. The front of the stickers are produced on a highly reflective material, while the back is made of special removable adhesive so they can be removed easily when the child no longer occupies that room.

Frankfort Residents can pick up their stickers at Station #1-333 W. Nebraska St. between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. If you are not a Frankfort resident contact your local fire department.

SAFE HAVEN

A new law went into effect in August, 2001 that creates safe havens for parents of newborns who are considering the abandonment of their infants. The parent can bring the baby to one of several safe haven providers including fire stations when staff is present.

“Safe Haven provider” means any of the following:

A firefighter who is on duty.

An emergency medical technician who is on duty.

A staff member at a health care institution that is classified as a hospital or an outpatient treatment center. For more information go to www.saveabandonedbabies.org
